i got a job!

I finally got a job! I know that it takes some people months and months to find a job, but I am so glad that I have been blessed to get a job so quickly. I am going to be working as a Seasonal Tax Preparer for a CPA firm in Taylorsville. The office is only 10 minutes away, which is great since it has been extra snowy here lately.

I don't start until the middle of February, but I am glad that I don't have to go out and interview anymore. The interviewing process was starting to get pretty annoying. I was told multiple times that I don't have the experience they were looking for. But I guess that is the problem almost all college graduates face after graduation. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to work since we don't have any kids yet. This extra income will help us save money for our future!

Besides, unemployment wasn't a good look on me. :)

finally getting settled!

It has been a whirlwind these past few weeks. We came home from Montana and had less than 2 days before we had to move. We got everything cleaned and packed and then high-tailed it down to Utah. We had to check in at our new place before 5pm, and we got here at 4:45pm! That cut it too close for me. We had some of our awesome friends and family help us get everything into our new place, and for that we are super grateful!

We have now lived in Utah for a little over a week and I am still trying to adjust. It is so different from Rexburg! We actually live near stuff now! I can just drive 1/2 mile down the road and have everything I ever want/need in my reach.

We are slowly unpacking everything for our apartment. We finally got internet and cable today, and last week we bought a new couch and a washer/dryer set. I suddenly feel so old by getting excited about new appliances!

Brandon started his internship yesterday and it seems like it will give him good experience! I am still searching for a job, and hopefully I find one soon. I need to be proactive and busy. The less I have to do the lazier I get. I am just hoping that I will be able to find something soon.

I guess I need to start cooking more since I have all this time on my hands! :)
